Supplying construction materials to South Africa

South Africa works differently from the rest of the continent, and assuming otherwise is what catches buyers out. There is no pre-shipment inspection here. There is a product approval.

What South Africa asks for

South Africa does not run a PVoC scheme. Instead, products covered by a compulsory specification need a Letter of Authority from the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications before they can be sold. It is granted against the product, not the shipment, so the work happens once and up front rather than every container.
